This page is dedicated to our rescues who have blessed us with their wigglebutts, their sweet presence, and their constant kisses.

Each one has touched our hearts in different ways.

They have gone on to the Rainbow Bridge to become healthy again.

Just this side of Heaven, is a place called Rainbow Bridge...

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they miss someone very special to them; who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. YOU have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

THEN YOU CROSS RAINBOW BRIDGE TOGETHER...

Alex came to us in Early 2000. He found his forever home with Lori and her family. He was dearly loved by the whole family but especially by Robert and Ryan.
Alex went to the Rainbow Bridge on August 14/2003
Run free my friend.

With the assistance from Linda Lathrop of COCKERS Sanctuary and Rescue in Southern Washington, Freddy was surrendered to us from Eastern Oregon in Jan 03 and made his way via a couple of foster homes to his forever home in Langley BC. A tragic accident took him away far too early for his time. But while he was here in Canada he was at his best and loved the most, especially by April.

April and her family will miss you the most Freddy boy but also your foster moms Debra, Carolyn and me.
Love you XXOO

Shad-O

Shad-O was surrendered to us by a family who had young children and a new baby. Shad-O was becoming a bit grumpy so they found us and we found him a home.

Shad-O had lived with his foster mom, Marlou, for a couple of months before we found his forever home. He really wasn't as happy there as he was with Marlou and her family..canine, feline, and human. So, he went back to stay forever with Marlou.

He had a wonderful rest of his life on 5 acres of wondeful property in rural Maple Ridge.

On September 20/01 just after 10AM, Shad-O went to the Rainbow Bridge while he was lovingly held by Marlou. Before he went, he kissed her face again and again...I think he was thanking her and telling her he would be fine again soon.

Shad-O was not quite 10 1/2 yrs of age.
ALL of us at Cocker Spaniel Rescue of BC are going to miss him.
He is also missed by his original family, Paul and Rita and son Ryan (who speaks of him every day)

Below is a picture of some of his friends who are going to miss his little wiggley butt.

We LOVE you Shad-O!

JOJO was a troubled little dog who was born in China and surrendered by his owner due to a child coming.
He was a grumpy but lovable little guy and he was loved very much by Gunda and her husband. Although they only had in for 5 months, he left a big hole in their hearts the day he had to be put to sleep. It was thought that he had a brain tumor.
Be happy Jojo.
